BENJAMIN A. SHAPIRO was admitted to the State Bar of California in 2005. Mr. Shapiro is admitted to practice before all state courts in California, in addition to the United States District Court's Southern, Central, Eastern, and Northern Districts of California and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.

Mr. Shapiro's areas of practice include construction and general business litigation, labor and employment litigation, insurance coverage disputes, maritime and admiralty law, cargo and transportation law, environmental litigation, and appellate law. He has written appellate briefs for the California Court of Appeals (Grober v. Markel American Ins. Co., 2006 WL 2615312 (Cal. App. 2006)) and for the Ninth Circuit (New Hampshire Ins. Co. v. C'Est Moi, Inc., 519 F. 3d 937 (9th Cir. 2008)).

Mr. Shapiro received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Stanford University and received his Juris Doctor degree from Loyola Law School.

Prior to pursuing his legal career, Mr. Shapiro worked as a financial analyst at an international real estate investment firm, where he constructed financial models for the purpose of underwriting and managing multi-million dollar investments in master-planned communities and land developments throughout California and the west coast.
