JOHN P. DACEY is a senior shareholder
of Bergman & Dacey, Inc. Mr. Dacey represents numerous general contractors
and owners, such as school districts, sanitary districts, non-profit and
private corporations.
Mr. Dacey has been litigating complex jury and bench
trials, as well as appeals in state and federal court, for over 19 years.
His primary focus is complex construction problem solving and litigation.
Mr. Dacey has successfully litigated over 500 private and public construction
related disputes. His clients routinely build over $2 billion in construction
volume each year.
An active litigator and lecturer, Mr. Dacey regularly
speaks to client, trade and professional associations on various issues
regarding private and public works construction issues, as well as a wide
variety of other topics.
Mr. Dacey graduated from Ramapo College in New Jersey
and received his Juris Doctor from the Southwestern University School
of Law SCALE Program in Los Angeles in 1988 where he received American
Jurisprudence Awards for Community Property, Torts, Corporations and Labor
Law.
Mr. Dacey is a member of the Bar of all state and federal
courts in California. Mr. Dacey is also admitted to practice before the
United States Supreme Court. Mr. Dacey is a member of various State and
local bar associations. Mr. Dacey serves as a Trustee for the Association
of Builders and Contractors.
