LEAH S. BERGMAN was admitted to the State Bar of
California in 1976. She served as a Deputy District Attorney for the County
of Los Angeles from 1977 to 2005. Her primary responsibilities focused
on running a high-volume preliminary hearing court. Her work required
her to manage victims, witnesses, and police officers in a volatile atmosphere
and expeditious manner. She brings to our firm her tremendous interviewing
and witness preparation skills.
Ms. Bergman received
a Bachelor of Arts degree cum laude from U.C.L.A. and earned her Juris
Doctor from Southwestern University School of Law. She also holds a
Master of Arts degree in Counseling and has a lifetime California teaching
credential. Ms. Bergman is a member of the Bar of all state courts in
California, the United States District Court for the Central District
in California, and the California Supreme Court.
She is a past president
of the Shomrim Society, a fraternal law enforcement organization, and
remains involved in many community activities including the Board of
the Los Angeles Opera and the West Los Angeles Symphony.
