MITCHELL C. FREDERICK was admitted to the State Bar of California in 2006. Mr. Frederick is admitted to practice before the state courts of California, the United States District Court for the Central District of California, the United States District Court for the Eastern District of California, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
Mr. Frederick's practice focuses on labor and employment litigation and general business litigation. He has extensive experience defending both private and public sector clients in a broad range of employment-related matters, including harassment, discrimination, and reasonable accommodation cases. Additionally, Mr. Frederick has represented school district clients in administrative hearings before the Commission on Professional Competence. In the business litigation field, Mr. Frederick has represented national and international corporate clients in complex business tort and breach of contract matters. Mr. Frederick's practice also includes bankruptcy adversary proceedings, probate petitions, insurance coverage disputes, and construction litigation issues.
Mr. Frederick received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Literature and Writing, Magna Cum Laude from the University of California, San Diego in 2002 and received his Juris Doctorate from the University of California, Los Angeles in 2006. While in law school, he was a member of the Journal of International Law and Foreign Affairs and an Articles Editor of the Journal of Environmental Law and Policy. Mr. Frederick participated all three years as a mentor in UCLA's Law Fellows Outreach Program, designed to encourage and prepare high potential students from minority or disadvantaged communities for a career in law.
Prior to pursuing his legal career, Mr. Frederick served in the United States Navy, where he was a field hospital medic in Japan and was awarded the Navy & Marine Corps Achievement Medal.
