MICHELE M. GOLDSMITH is a shareholder of Bergman & Dacey, Inc. Ms. Goldsmith has extensive and varied experience in both public and private sector labor and employment law, representing management in connection with their labor and employment issues. Ms. Goldsmith has been litigating complex bench and jury trials for over 14 years. Her primary focus is complex employment dispute resolution and litigation. Ms. Goldsmith is also experienced in representing public agency management in labor relations.
Ms. Goldsmith is a regular lecturer, and she speaks to attorneys, clients, and professional associations on various issues regarding employment practices, including discrimination, harassment, and wage and hour issues. She has presented topics such as "Precluding a Claim of Disability Discrimination," "Engaging in the Interactive Process: What Employments Need to Know to Comply," "Time is of the Essence: A Wage and Hour Discussion," "A Guide to Understanding Sexual Harassment in the Workplace," "SLAPP Motions In Employment Litigation," and "Preventing Workplace Claims: The Hot Zones Where Employers Get In Trouble." She also provides sexual harassment prevention training in compliance with California Gov. Code Section 12950.1. In addition, Ms. Goldsmith is a member of numerous employment related trade organizations.
Ms. Goldsmith is admitted to practice before all courts in the State of California, United States Court of Appeal for the Ninth Circuit and the United States District Court for the Central District. Ms. Goldsmith has argued before the Court of Appeal, District 2. Ms. Goldsmith was admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court in October 2002.

Ms. Goldsmith received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from California State University at Northridge, cum laude, in 1992 and received her Juris Doctorate from Loyola Law School, Los Angeles in 1995. While at Loyola Law School, Ms. Goldsmith was Vice-President of Pi Alpha Delta, a legal fraternity and served as both a staff member and an editor on the Loyola Law School Entertainment Law Journal. Ms. Goldsmith is fluent in Hebrew.
