Mr. Shapiro was admitted to the State Bar of California in 2005. Mr. Shapiro is admitted to practice before all state courts in California, in addition to the United States District Court's Southern, Central, Eastern, and Northern Districts of California and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.

Mr. Shapiro's areas of practice include business litigation, insurance, maritime, admiralty, and cargo and transportation law. Mr. Shapiro's cases include Grober v. Markel American Ins. Co., 2006 WL 2615312 (Cal. App. 2006) and New Hampshire Ins. Co. v. C'Est Moi, Inc., 519 F. 3d 937 (9th Cir. 2008).

Mr. Shapiro received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Stanford University and received his Juris Doctor degree from Loyola Law School.
