Bergman & Dacey, Inc. announces that effective September 1, 2011, Omar H. Bengali has joined the firm as an Associate attorney.
Mr. Bengali was admitted to the California State Bar in May, 2011 and is licensed to practice law before all the state courts of California and the United States District Court for the Central District of California.
As a law student and law clerk, Mr. Bengali participated in several civil litigation matters, including trial, involving construction and employment matters. He received his B.A. in Political Science from The George Washington University where he received Dean’s List honors. While attending university, Mr. Bengali was an aide to a Congresswoman for the 20th District of Florida in the United States House of Representatives. Mr. Bengali received his Juris Doctor from Southwestern University School of Law. Mr. Bengali was a Wildman Scholar, on the Dean’s List, a Dean’s Fellow, a Southwestern Ambassador, and was accepted into the Trial Advocacy Honors Program, where he competed nationally and was awarded "Best Advocate" two years in a row.
After graduating from law school, Mr. Bengali was awarded a litigation fellowship through the Los Angeles division of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA). During his fellowship, he clerked for the Honorable Rita Miller of the Los Angeles Superior Court.
Mr. Bengali speaks Urdu, Hindi, Spanish, and Arabic.
